Summer fit blend
In summer, horses show where they reach their limits. Excessive sweating, heat sensitivity, sluggish digestion or skin problems — the warm season challenges metabolism, sweat regulation, and lymph flow differently than the rest of the year.
Sommerfit was specifically designed for this time. Seven organic components — herbs, seeds, leaves, and roots — rounded off with magnesium citrate. A holistic mixture that stimulates metabolism and lymph flow, relieves the liver and kidneys, and balances the increased magnesium requirement due to sweating.
Especially for the warm season. For horses that struggle with heat — and for all who want to actively support their four-legged friend through the summer.

Why does my horse need a supplement?
Why summer is challenging for horses
Heat, heavy sweating, high insect loads, and increased magnesium requirements can visibly stress horses during the warm season — recognizable by lethargy, sluggish digestion, irritated skin, or exhaustion.
Sommerfit was developed to address precisely these issues: stimulating metabolism and lymphatic flow, relieving the liver and kidneys, and compensating for the increased magnesium requirement due to sweating.
Applications: Heat sensitivity · Heavy sweating · Magnesium loss · Sluggish summer metabolism · Liver & Kidneys · Lymphatic flow · Skin problems · Exhaustion & Fatigue
Hand-picked composition
100% natural, free from preservatives, flavourings or fillers. Certified organic herbs from Germany, carefully blended to create the perfect active ingredient mix. We only use ingredients and processing qualities that we would also give to a human.
Hawthorn
Hawthorn is rich in vitamin C, flavonoids, and tannins. It is said to have anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, circulation-optimizing, and relaxing properties. Hawthorn has proven particularly effective in supporting the heart and circulatory system in older horses, and it is also frequently used for navicular disease and laminitis.
bedstraw
Cleavers have a positive effect on lymph flow and support the kidneys - detoxifying, diuretic and antibacterial. They stimulate the metabolism and can visibly improve skin, hooves and coat. Cleavers are often used for fatigue or exhaustion - the high content of natural silicic acid makes them a valuable source of vital substances.
Milk thistle
Milk thistle is one of the best-known herbs for liver support. Elevated liver values are common in domesticated horses—with consequences such as decreased performance, fatigue, weight problems, metabolic abnormalities, or skin problems.
With its main active ingredient silymarin, milk thistle stimulates metabolism, detoxifies the liver, and regenerates cells. It is also often used for weight regulation, improving skin appearance, and after deworming treatments or medication administration.
magnesium
In summer, your horse's magnesium requirement increases significantly due to heavy sweating. Magnesium is involved in numerous metabolic processes – it supports muscles, nerves, digestion and concentration and can contribute to a balanced body weight.
Dandelion
Dandelion complements the effect of milk thistle. It supports the liver and kidneys, has a purifying, diuretic and blood-cleansing effect. In addition, it strengthens the immune system and digestion - skin and musculoskeletal system also benefit from one of the oldest known medicinal herbs.
Brown millet
Brown millet supports the entire musculoskeletal system — bones, cartilage and connective tissue. It is also often used as a supplement for existing joint problems or osteoarthritis.
birch
Due to its purifying effect, the birch is also known as the "kidney tree". Birch leaves are diuretic, draining, and kidney-supporting.
Fenugreek seeds
Fenugreek seeds support a healthy gastrointestinal tract and strengthen the immune system. Older, lean, or recuperating horses particularly benefit from them.

Can I combine Summer Fit with the Metabolism Booster?
Can I combine Summer Fit with the Metabolism Booster?
A course of 1 to 2 kg per horse over the summer is advisable. On cooler days, you can also give some metabolism booster in between – provided your horse is already accustomed to both feeds. For horses with very sensitive digestion, it's better to stick with one course than to switch. If your horse struggles with the heat, aim for 2 kg; otherwise, 1 kg is sufficient. Afterwards, you can either give a magnesium course or return to the metabolism booster.
Can I feed Summerfit to my pregnant mare?
Can I feed Summerfit to my pregnant mare?
Please don't. The fenugreek seeds it contains can have a stimulating effect on the uterus.
Is Sommerfit suitable for young horses?
Is Sommerfit suitable for young horses?
Our own young Icelandic horses receive metabolism boosters, hemp-plus mixture, Sommerfit, and magnesium in rotation and are developing wonderfully. We cannot assess the individual nutrient requirements of your young horse from afar — but feedback from practice is consistently positive, including for young horses.
